The base material in plastic molding is bought in form of pellets. Plastic molding companies do not produce their own plastic because this is an entirely different process which requires time and several machines. They therefore get plastic from other companies who specialize in plastic manufacturing. The reason plastic molding companies buy pellets is because they are easier to transport and store than liquid plastic. The pellets are sold in different sizes and they can be fed in build into a heating system which is the next plastic injection component.
The heating system is the place where the pellets are put under intense heat to melt them. The size of the heating system can vary depending on the scale of production, with big companies having large heating compartments. The compartments are usually made from metal that is heat resistant and a ventilation system must be installed to remove toxic fumes.
The next step after heating the plastic is the molding process. The company must have a molding chamber as one of the plastic injection components. This is the place where the liquid plastic is fed and allowed to cool off. The molding chamber is made from metal or any other material that is plastic resistant to make sure the plastic do not stick to the material. The plastic is fed into the chamber through holes or a door. The plastic will stay in the chamber for some time to cool off and form a solid base before it can be removed.
The ejection chamber is the last constituent of plastic injection components. This is the equipment which is used to remove the solid plastic from the molding chamber. The factory can use pistons or other equipments to remove it and at the same time allows the plastic to shape into desired shape. However, the plastic can not be removed using hands since this can take a long period and the factory wants to save time. Sometimes, the plastic can get stuck into the mold and force will be used to eject it. There is a release agent which can be applied on the surface of the mold chamber before the plastic liquid is released into it to make sure it does not get stuck.
